Quick review: Matt has had many boyfriends, but they all fail to live up to his first love, Ryan. The one thing Matt can't get over, is what would have happened if both of them had gone off to attend Stanford, like they planned. Would they be the ideal, happily-married gay couple? So it is a shock when Matt receives an invitation to Ryan's wedding, especially since they have communicated in 10 years. It's a bigger shock when he learns Ryan intends to marry a woman. He decides he must go, if for no other reason than to save his friend from making a mistake that so many gay men have made in the past, marrying a woman to stay closeted. But a funny thing happens on the way to breaking up the wedding. Matt meets Ryan's fiancee, Alex (Tori Spelling), and he likes her. They get along great, but she knows nothing of exactly how close Matt and Ryan used to be. Ryan has also changed, but one thing seems obvious: He has genuine affection for Alex. So Matt is very confused. Is Ray gay? Straight? Somewhere in between? This film was done by the same director who made Latter Days, and one of the stars from that film (Steve Sandvoss) even has a supporting role in this one. It's a fun film, but doesn't rise above the average level.
